Tire equivalence


Before changing the tires on your vehicles you should take into account that these must comply with the requirements corresponding to each vehicle type and model.
Your vehicle's tires must be approved by the manufacturer, as should the size, features and configuration or their equivalents.

Equivalent tires is understand as those that meet the following requirements:

LOAD INDEX
The load capacity index must be equal to or higher than any of the tires included on the roadworthiness certificate.

SPEED RATING
The speed rating must be equal to or higher than any of the tires included on the roadworthiness certificate.

RIM
The rim must be suitable for the tire mounted.

INTERFERENCE
There can be no interference between the tire and other parts of the vehicle.

TRACK GAUGE
Track gauge must not exceed that included on the roadworthiness certificate (with a tolerance of +30 and -30 mm).

DIRECTION OF ROTATION
The direction of rotation for the tires must be complied with

DIMENSIONAL TOLERANCE
Permitted tolerance for the nominal external diameter is between + 3% and - 3%.

Tires marked with FRT (free-rolling tires) are only mounted on trailer axles.Not on drive or steering axles.
A trailer axle is understood as any motor vehicle axle that is not a drive or steering axle (for example the rear axle of a vehicle with front steering and drive axle).
